Sale on wipes

I don't write about a lot of products on here, and when I do it's been about Kandoo wipes. They have survived the baby stage, the potty training stage and the after-potty-training stage since they are, in fact, flushable wipes. And I can't live without them!!

Not only are the products great, the company is great too! I've received numerous correspondence via e-mail and in the mail to me and to my girls, almost always with a coupon enclosed.

If you have a Target near you, which I do just miles away, which I'm so grateful for and for its "open until 11 p.m." hours. Kandoo wipes are on a "price-cut" until Saturday, Feb. 11. The 150-pack is $1 off and the 400-pack is 15% off. Go shop before they are all gone!

For more information about Pampers Kandoo products, visit www.pamperskandoo.com.

A blast from my past

You were wondering what the title meant, huh? Well the 'blast' is Bar.bies. Bar.bie clothes, cars, shoes, you know.

Fun stuff that happens to be EVERYWHERE. So far we have had prom and a wedding. And the wedding is complete with Cinderelly's carriage and two hot pink convertibles.

How to talk to your kids about the death of a pet

One of my favorite bloggers and new found e-mail friend, Helene, from I'm Living Proof That God Has a Sense of Humor, posted recently about how to deal with the death of a pet with kids. The post was amazing and had great tips, but had also made me appreciate the animals we have a little bit more. Your relationship and appreciation changes once you have kids since priorities change.

So head on over. You will be addicted to her blog with her humor and honesty with parenting and life.

Where's the Love? Wednesday: Crafty Kids

What I'm loving this week?

I'm loving how crafty my girls are. From tiaras, cut outs of random shapes from their Melissa and Doug scissors (awesome! They don't cut hair), to beautiful watercolor paintings.

They spend at least an hour a day at the kitchen table making masterpieces. Ava enjoys it so much she sits there much longer than Emma, who will draw for a while and then tend to her babies.

What else am I loving? Our chore chart. I bought a chalkboard on clearance wayyy before I had kids because I had grand dreams for it. Not for a chore chart. Not sure for what. Anyways, we painted and decorated it together and enforced it from the start. The thrill for all kinda dropped off shortly after until yesterday.

And I was at my wits end trying to get them to listen and eat all of meals. So I brought it back out and put the following chores:

* Pick up toys
* Feed animals
* Brush hair/teeth
* LISTEN!

And so far today they remembered it and have been anxious to get their 'marks.'

Presenting your highnesses

Here are our final fast food tiaras that we painted with cheap craft paint, decorated with bunny pasta and puffy sparkle cotton balls with white/clear glue. I used clear packing tape to fasten them together.

The decorations aren't staying on that great, but that isn't stomping on this royalty. They are SO SO proud of them. And it makes my heart smile.

The next 'Santa/Frosty'

One of my favorite mommy bloggers, Jodie, from It's All Good in Mommyhood, wrote the following post on Valentine mailboxes. She's your go-to crafty momma whenever you can't think of a dessert to make, or this fun craft. And she has great tips on doing Disney as a family and I think she loves ice cream more than me! Shocker. I know. Check out her blog:

Where's the Love Wednesday: Flannel Granny Jammies

What am I loving today?

My girls' flannel Dora granny jammies I scored 60% off at Penny's a couple of days before Christmas. They LOVE them. And I love how they almost hit the floor, in true granny jammies fashion.

What are you loving this week? Play along with me and Abby at Akers of Love (www.akersoflove.blogspot.com) or click the Where's the Love button on the right side bar (Sorry, I can't figure how to link on my phone by highlighting words---help?!)

Chalk art

When CA weather is dry with a little chill, chalk art lives on!

Pro-Feeding Babies in Public (Breastfeeding)

I recently had the joy of running across this blog, This Daddys Blog. He recently posted this: http://www.thisdaddysblog.com/2012/01/need-to-feedbreastfeed-that-is.html?showComment=1325609143182&m=1#c789801476048022095

Read it. Hear it. Support it.

I remember the feelings I had trying to nurse my itty bitty Ava in the NICU, at home and in public. It was tough. I was embarassed. And I shouldn't of been.

With Emma, I so wasn't shy. I would nurse in front of my brother, dad ...but that's about as far as I went (coverless). But I remember having to pump at work, and it made some people and especially the two men in the office feel uncomfy. Although most supported, I was surprised.

Isn't this what mothers are suppose to do? It is what God gave us equiped with.

Ballet is expensive

Ballet is expensive if your child only goes in during the actual ballet part. Not the first half during the tap part.

I know. I get her point. Ballet is much more her. She can do the hokey pokey anytime she wants! And she has it. She has the grace and poise for ballet. She listens attentively and is beautiful when she goes in to dance.

So help me. This lovely little three year old is very excited when it is ballet day. She chats it up with her teacher before class, but when it is time to go into class with her classmates she freezes and 'is shy.' I tend to have a lot of patience on these days, but it is getting old and the bribery of candy or treats isn't doing the trick.

Although today during Emma's potty break which was 5 minutes into her shyness, the crying/deep breaths/calming/'this class is expensive' crap I was saying ... She snapped out of it and went in!

Now you may say this is normal for new dancers, but we've beenn this class since June.

What do you do when your little dancer freezes up? We can't continue to keep going with me job-less if she continues doing this and we gotta keep going because I already bought the $60+ leotard outfit for the recital in June!
