So long work break

Hello! I've been gone for a very long time. Working, being a wife, mommy, etc. are all exhausting and I couldn't find an ounce of energy or time to blog.

Blah, blah, blah. I'm back! (Crickets?!) Oh well.

Happy New Year! Happy Easter! Happy Mother's Day!

I'm lucky that we found a wonderful preschool for the girls to attend while my husband and I are at work!

For Mother's Day, they had a tea with strawberry shortcake and milk. A reading of "Love You Forever" which I held back tears; and a lovely gift of a post it note pad and a Q&A of how skinny they really think I am. ;)

Cheers to the holiday season!

Christmas tree picking is more fun with a 3- and 4- year old.

Happy holidays to all!

To my girls

On Mother's Day weekend.. I celebrate my wonderful mom and my girls, and my husband who made me a momma!

My girls shape me into a better person daily and have shown me what true, unconditional love is.

My mom is the best. She has always been there, prepared me for what to expect during each milestone of my life (moving out, becoming a wife and a mom), and always has the "yes, that's normal" response when I think I'm doing something wrong as a mom. I'm not sure where I would be here in this mommyhood world without her.

And my husband too! For making me a mommy and for always being the voice of reason in the most perfect, gentlest way... When I need a break or when I question myself.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Love notes

I have been thinking all day about what to write about on Valentine's Day, and I came across this post at this blog, at Christina Williams blog. I don't know her personally, I think that's her blog's name.

Anyways, she wrote love notes for her family and I'm copying!!!

Emma: You my love are my snuggle bug. You love your mommy and only your mommy in the middle of the night. But are your daddy's snuggled bug on his days off. You are my last baby and I treasure all of the moments and milestones we hit and will hit. You know how to get your way with everyone and how to get your sister in trouble. I love how you always tend to your babies/dolls. I love you so much.

Ava: You are so special and a miracle. You amaze us with the things you can do and will do. You are an amazing big sister and an amazing little ballerina. I love how you draw and color and then draw some more. I love you so much.

Daddy: You are my partner, BFF, love and my soulmate. You stand by my side, even when I'm wrong. You allow me to be who I am and listen and support me in my dreams/ramblings. I couldn't be anymore luckier to have you as my husband, father to my children, and my lifelong BFF.

The next 'Santa/Frosty'

One of my favorite mommy bloggers, Jodie, from It's All Good in Mommyhood, wrote the following post on Valentine mailboxes. She's your go-to crafty momma whenever you can't think of a dessert to make, or this fun craft. And she has great tips on doing Disney as a family and I think she loves ice cream more than me! Shocker. I know. Check out her blog:

Take 1

Santa in our house is an exciting thing this year. More than last year. Their Santa photo made it to the front page of the Pleasanton Weekly. Classic picture. Both crying. Hysterically.

So since year they want to do it again. With Santa crying and the girls smiling.

Not sure if it can be achieved since Emma is Ava's age last year.

Here's Irish Twins Take 1. And the lucky encounter we had with Santa an hour later, after his break to go and feed the reindeer. Emma slowlllly climbs down the stairs.

**I couldn't post them all on correct order with Blogger Mobile. I will try and fix it on Monday.
